Common bagel processing machines
This is the most critical machine of the bagel making process. A conveyor belt is used to form the bagel into the familiar round shape.
Replacement Bagel Forming Belts:
P19/B has a protective elastomer cover with built in grip to grab the edges of the bagel; this belt offers superior cleanability and wear resistance. R20 & R30 have a distinctive fabric impression that provides a more gentle grip with R30 being a heavy duty version of the R20.
The dough moulder gets the dough to the right parameters before it enters the bagel forming machine. We recommend belts with a fabric cover because of their excellent release properties.
There are many styles of packaging machines with different belting configurations. We supply replacement engineered timing belts with custom covers or backings for this application.
Oven infeed and outfeed applications are particulary harsh on belts becasue they are often exposed to high temperatures and nosebar transfers near the oven. P9/A/PX is designed to resist continuous operational temperatures up to 230F/110C and nosebar transfers as small as 0.25"/6mm.
Bagel slicing machines cut the bagels in half so that they are ready for the customer to enjoy. Slicing machines often use conveyor belts or timing belts with a special, high grip cover used to grab the bagel while it is being cut.
